Xbox Game Pass October 2026 Games: Full Wave 1 List

The Xbox Game Pass October 2026 games lineup is here, and it is one of the stronger monthly drops in a while. Microsoft has confirmed nine new titles joining the service in the first wave of the month, headlined by Battlefield 6 arriving on October 13 — the same day its new season launches. Whether you play on console, PC, cloud, or handheld, here is every game coming, when each one lands, which subscription plan you need, and which nine games leave the service on October 15.

All nine additions are joining Game Pass for the first time, spread across four release dates from October 8 to October 16. Seven of the nine are day-one releases, meaning they launch directly into the subscription.

    October 8 — already available:

    • Echo Weaver (Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass) — a day-one time-loop metroidvania where you use knowledge and time-manipulation abilities to break an endless cycle. Playable on cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
    • Forever Ago (Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass) — a day-one single-player road-trip adventure about photography, exploration, and redemption. Playable on cloud, console, and PC.
    • Neon Abyss 2 (Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, PC Game Pass) — a fast-paced roguelike action platformer with chaotic combat and a cyberpunk setting. Notably, this is the only Wave 1 title also included in the Premium tier. Playable on cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

October 13 — the biggest day of the wave:

    • Battlefield 6 (Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass) — the headline addition. The large-scale military shooter arrives on cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and the timing is deliberate: October 13 is also the launch day of Battlefield 6 Season 5, which opens the game’s second year with a destructible Las Vegas map, an Area 51-inspired military complex, new weapons and vehicles, Platoons, and multiplayer leaderboards. Game Pass Ultimate members also get EA Play perks, including a Deployment Pack and seasonal rewards.
    • Deep Dish Dungeon (Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass) — a day-one survival exploration game with handcrafted dungeons, crafting, and online co-op. Playable on cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
    • Valor Mortis (Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass) — a day-one first-person soulslike from One More Level, the studio behind Ghostrunner. Set in an alternate-history Napoleonic era with Vincent Cassel voicing Napoleon, it is arguably the most interesting new release of the month for action fans. It also runs on ROG Xbox Ally handhelds.

    October 15:

    • Bluey’s Happy Snaps (Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass) — the family pick of the month, starring the beloved cartoon puppy in a photography game. Playable on cloud, console, handheld, and PC.
    • Chained Beasts (Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass) — a co-op roguelike supporting up to four players in gladiatorial bouts. Playable on cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

    October 16:

    • Beyond These Stars (Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass) — a city-builder with a twist: you construct your settlement on the back of a gargantuan space whale. This one is PC-only.

Games leaving Xbox Game Pass in October 2026

As always, new arrivals mean departures. Nine games leave the service on October 15, so if any of these are in your backlog, you have just days left:

A Plague Tale: Requiem, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Crime Scene Cleaner, Donut County, Evil West, Nova Roma, Pacific Drive, Superball, and The Casting of Frank Stone.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is the painful one — it was one of the best-reviewed games of its year, so finishing it before the 15th is worth prioritizing. Game Pass members typically get a discount if they want to buy a departing game to keep.

Which Game Pass plan do you need?

Almost the entire wave requires Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass. The one exception is Neon Abyss 2, which is also available to Premium subscribers. If you are on the entry-level plan and eyeing Battlefield 6 or Valor Mortis, you will need to step up to Ultimate or PC Game Pass. Keep in mind that cloud streaming, which lets you play without downloads, is part of the Ultimate tier — handy if your storage is full.

    What to play first

If you only have time for a few: Battlefield 6 is the obvious pick, arriving alongside a full new season of content on day one. Valor Mortis is the critic’s curiosity — a first-person soulslike is rare, and early buzz is strong. And if you share your subscription with kids, Bluey’s Happy Snaps on October 15 is an easy win. With seven day-one launches in a single wave, October is a genuinely good month to be subscribed.
